Only a limited number of protocols are allowed by Apple to become Personal VPN profiles on iOS. In May of 2024, the TunnelVision exploit was discovered, which affected all these protocols. As a result, virtually all VPN apps have deprecated these protocols, and there is no app which offers Personal VPN profiles. This has killed split-tunneling with AdGuard, completely and absolutely.
Proposed solution
A potential solution to this would be to find a way to make AdGuard work with a Personal VPN profile. TunnelVision wouldn't affect it, since it just loops back into the device, so there would be no drawbacks to offering such an option. AdGuard would run as a Personal VPN, and the other app as a Device VPN.
Can it be done?
