Updating an OS

Alejandro Sáez An OS is an enormous project made of smaller (but not small) projects. Each project must evolve at the same pace to achieve a proper release. In this talk, I will give an overview of the release process and an introduction on how to build a Fedora package.

Alejandro Sáez has been working as a remote software engineer at Red Hat for almost two years as part of the Tools Team, a team where we work on cool stuff like GCC and LLVM (to name a few). In my specific case, in the Go & Delve side. Before that, I worked as a system administrator and DevOps Engineer for almost 7 years at different companies.

Stateful Applications on Kubernetes with K8ssandra

Cédrick Lunven K8ssandra is an open-source project that anyone in the community can use, improve, and enjoy. K8ssandra is a cloud native distribution of Apache Cassandra® that runs on Kubernetes. Accompanying Cassandra is a suite of tools to ease and automate operational tasks. This includes metrics, data anti-entropy services, and backup/restore tools. As part of K8ssandra’s installation process, all of these components are installed and wired together, freeing your teams from having to perform the tedious plumbing of components.

Cédrick Lunven is Directory of Developer Advocacy at DataStax where he shares his passions about Cassandra and distributed architectures by training and creating applications for developers. He created FF4j, an open source framework for Feature Toggle which he still actively maintains. He is also a contributor in the JHipster team.
