Thank you for providing such an interesting project.
Now there is a question. How to restore the ambiguous png to original images? Or some way to display the "apple image" on another(no-apple device) platform?

You could write a parser that uses the offsets in the iDOT chunk, just like Apple does. You might find the code in here useful as a starting point: https://github.com/DavidBuchanan314/parallel-png-proposal
