is sunshine installed on the remote host? #111
Comments
Cloudy Pad is using Wolf under the hood, it's a lot like Sunshine. I think it's a Moonlight limitation on MacOS unfortunately - see #97. I'm looking for a workaround to document proper user of Moonlight on MacOS |
Not sure if this happens with macOS as well, my issue is with tvOS. I will do some research on my own as well.. |
Hmm indeed, I'm not familiar with tvOS. How did you install Moonlight on that device ? Via App Store ? From this Moonlight issue: moonlight-stream/moonlight-ios#417 (comment) it seems that Moonlight installed from App Store may not be able to connect to something not on local network.
A workaround is worth documenting here. I'll also do some research. Do not hesitate to post back if you find something :) |
Ok, here's the workaround: put the IP in IPv6 format:

I try to access the remote instance from my Apple TV which doesn't allow connections to hosts outside the LAN. I am not very knowledgable re moonlight and the ecosystem around it, but to me it looks like Sunshine would do the trick?
