When looking for something, users carry the cognitive load of understanding and remembering the taxonomy and location of the things they are looking for. As the content on the Design System expands, this becomes more burdensome to the user. This is exacerbated because sometimes, content is interpreted as inconsistent.
So what?
Users disengage, frustration is increased, confidence is reduced and sometimes users don’t find what they need.
Now what?
We don’t know enough about this and it would be useful to explore where users expect to find information, how users search for information and how they enter the Design System.
