It basically enables to run MicMac commands into Meshroom GUI. Moreover, Meshroom environment is versatile enough to run and implement new nodes as long as it can be launch is command line. We were thinking of a PyMeshLab based node to offer conversion format.
At some point, we were stuck because Meshroom viewer doesn't support PLY import (considered as a Mesh). Anyhow if we want to improve the synergy between those two solutions, we need a way to convert easily their "native formats" (PLY for MicMac and ABC Alembic for Meshroom/AliceVision).
Unfortunately Meshlab doesn't support Alembic yet, do you think it is something worth to work on ?

Hello,
A team a researcher just finished an hackathon to explore the possible synergies between Meshroom X MicMac for photogrammetric processing.
