When a site contains a number of workspaces, the add new user dialog is swamped with groups comping from the collective.workspace PAS plugin. Is it possible to filter these groups out of the new user dialog in some way? It's not very useful to add users directly to workspaces upon user creation when the membership management is contained in the workspace interface.

Thanks for raising this - I can confirm that this is a bug we encountered but couldn't find a simple fix for.
In ploneintranet.workspace, the collective.workspace PAS plugin has 'enumerateGroups' deactivated, which means the groups don't appear in most places. Unfortunately the 'add user' dialog seems to use some other method of looking up groups.
Ok, thanks for the clarification. So to fix this we will probably have to override and eventually update/fix Plone Core, starting point is to investigate the 'add user dialog code.
