"ninja install" fails

All the dependencies seem to be installed, meson build --prefix=/usr succeeds, but ninja install fails. I'm trying to compile this program on Void Linux. Am I doing something wrong?

What's your Granite version? Dock requres granite-7 >= 7.2.0

We've updated granite7 to 7.6.0 and I've managed to build the dock without errors. But I have another question now. Does it expect Gala as a window manager now?

Yes, it needs Gala both to position itself and to get info about open windows.
