.SH DESCRIPTION
gps_time is a simple application to read GPS NMEA sentences from
a serial (or USB) device and extract date/time information to
set the system time.
It will read data from the device indefinitely until it finds a
$GPRMC message which it will use to extract date and time
information.
.SH COMMAND LINE OPTIONS

.BI "\-s " baud-rate
Specify the prototype file to generate.
The default is
.I 9600
baud.

.BI "\-l " device
Specify the serial device connected to the GPS.
The default is
.I /dev/ttyu0

.B \-v
Be more verbose in output and show what is happening during each
stage of operation.
.SH EXAMPLES
To silently set the time from a GPS attached to ttyU1:

.SH BUGS
Ideally the application would give up after some number of seconds,
if the GPS data has not been successfully received.
