So on the internal player of Madari it doesn't handle subtitles the best from my experience. It displays the text with a standard font and also having a black background, this is fine for some shows and movies, but some subtitles need to be styled. Such as for example anime, some translations for signs won't be lined up correctly, whilst also not having the correct animations for continuity.
The same can go for shows that feature sections where people speak a different language for a short while and the susbtitles don't show correctly.
I am unsure of how stremio does it but I know the file typles of the subtitles that need to be supported for this to work
The formats are .ASS and .SSA!
