We are using a reasoning model (https://huggingface.co/deepseek-ai/DeepSeek-R1-Distill-Qwen-32B) in our Onyx deployment.

Actual behavior:

  • While the response is streaming, there are weird characters displayed at the end: [*]()
  • The content is displayed in the response content

Desired behavior:

  • No [*]() characters while streaming
  • The section is collapsable (see chat.deepseek.ai with DeepThink enabled for an example)
