This proposal is motivated by several issues, discussions, and general vibes. There's been a low-level desire for the demo to encompass features like serverless or other cloud-specific technologies -- ECS, et. al. (#1185 is an example).
While there are 'pure' OSS solutions for things like FaaS (OpenFaaS), in general any/all of these don't have widespread support or aren't compatible with existing project-provided tooling.
Some vaguely unscientific research (n ~= 200) has identified AWS and Azure as the two clouds with the majority of current OpenTelemetry users by pretty wide margins. Do we think we'd have the bandwidth or interest in creating 'first-class' demo support for these clouds that leveraged vendor-specific technologies where appropriate?
