hatch standalone binaries "offline"

I want to use hatch offline with custom pip-index but the standalone binary tries to connect to github to download hatch

I downloaded hatch-x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu.tar.gz from here https://hatch.pypa.io/latest/install/#linux
Extracted it and run hatch binary contained ...

Is there a way to get the binary running?

You can download it on your online machine and then run the restore command (optionally set the location if you want rather than relying on the system default). After that, then move the binary and the installation location to your offline machine.

Thank you i dont know how the projects name for env var PYAPP_INSTALL_DIR_<PROJECT_NAME>. What is the default installation path for Ubuntu?

I restored the installation on the online machine with hatch self restore (exported PYAPP_INSTALL_DIR_HATCH before).

After that i copied the standalone binary and the compressed installation to the offline machine as you said.

On the offline machine:
exported PYAPP_INSTALL_DIR_HATCH with the same directory
Extracted the compressed installation to the same PYAPP_INSTALL_DIR_HATCH
Placed the standalone binary at the same location as on the online machine.
When i use the standalone binary it still tries to download hatch.
When i run the hatch binary inside the installation i can setup the env but got errors on run with tkinter which is only installed in the main python installation. I dont have this problem on the online machine.
The behavior is the same as if i just extract hatch-dist-x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu.tar.gz from https://github.com/pypa/hatch/releases directly and use the hatch binary inside. Something with the set paths seems messed up. I find this kind of complicated to be able to use a specific hatch version offline.

I decided to use pipx installation this worked for me. Thanks for the support.
