time_vector::pipeline::lambda module is falling out of date #647

The experimental time_vector::pipeline::lambda module is suffering from a bit of neglect.

Same problem in two pull requests we're using old and deprecated code and clippy is upset:

Some options:

update the lambda stuff
remove the lambda stuff
see if we can get clippy to ignore these deprecations
see if we can update pest less hard
