It would be nice to be able to have an alternative option of having the option of GitLab Custom Executor as a way of using GitLab CI/CD. This brings the following benefits:

  • Executor Runs at the host level
  • Allows for the job to define the image for the VM
  • Concurrency managed at the Runner level
  • Registers Runners once, with Runner monitoring
