is possible get placegroup from datastores ?

i need to get the PlaceGroups from datastores in config.yml, is possible ? i need beacuse the placegroups.geojson are in a bucket on s3
there is a way like Datastores: Datasets: but for placegroups

At the time, a placegroup can only be specified with a path to an absolute or relative location in the local file system. We agree that this is something that should be possible, so I have opened an issue for this: #927
