Struggling to force CJK and non-CJK characters to render at equal width

I'm trying to use a font which is already fullwidth (Kreative Square) to render ASCII and block elements, while at the same time mixing in CJK characters. However, this means that CJK characters just end up being double width. How do I re-specify character widths so that all of them (or at least block elements) will be counted as fullwidth? (Alternatively, CJK characters could be respecified as halfwidth.) I'm guessing this involves registering a custom unicode version, but I'm unclear how.

Never mind, I realized I could use the unicode11 addon as an example.
