Currently only the weights have been optimized using Genetic Algorithm. I am working on using GA for evolving the perfect architecture of the network, that too for a complex task like hand written digits recognition, using MNIST dataset. If anyone wants to address this issue, you are most welcome. I would appreciate if someone wants to help me with this research.
