⛔ Broken links #999

You're only going to fix the rdm.openlighting.org manufacturer/model links by running the RDM model collector and uploading the results of a real fixtures: Or using the web UI version. |
Hello @peternewman, I'm not quite sure how to add new RDM fixtures to rdm.openlighting.org. I've already sent you an email with some data, but I guess it got lost in the spam folder or something like that. Is it possible that I add the fixtures myself directly to the database? The model collector won't work for us in this case, though, as we don't have the physical devices here. However, we know all the needed data (i.e. manufacturer/model id, etc.). |
Sorry @fxedel I realised I didn't reply! What do you actually know about the fixture though, we're not really interested in just manufacturer and model ID, it's thing like the software version and what PIDs it supports, and the actual names of personalities and stuff that come from the fixture (given the buggyness of some fixtures I'd rather have what's native from it, than someone's interpretation from a manual or similar).
Can your users gather the data? Presumably some have regular access to some of these fixtures? Assuming they have the right DMX interfaces too it wouldn't be too hard. |
…e as the fixture may not exist As mentioned in #999
