style: remove trailing whitespace and use tabs for indentation

Changes Proposed

I removed all trailing whitespace and replaced spaces with tabs for indentation. These changes ensure a more consistent code formatting, aligned with the project's guidelines.

If the codestyle uses tab indent, I don't see why not ;)

It was actually changed by himself a year ago. If the whole codebase seems to use four spaces instead of a tab than maybe we should revert the editorconfig change.
