Become a sponsor to Nick Craig-Wood
I'm the founder and lead maintainer of the Rclone project. Rclone ("rsync for cloud storage") is a command line program to sync files and directories to and from different cloud storage providers.
Rclone supports over 70 different cloud providers from consumer (Google Drive, Dropbox) to enterprise (Box), to cloud native (S3, Azure Blob, Openstack Swift, Google Cloud Storage) to standardized (SFTP, WebDAV, FTP, HTTP). Not only can rclone sync files it can also mount any of the storage backends as a network attached disk on Windows, macOS, Linux and FreeBSD. It can also serve any of the backends (including local disk) over SFTP, WebDAV, FTP, HTTP.
Users have called it "The swiss army knife of cloud storage" and "Technology indistinguishable from magic".
Sponsorship
Business users
If your business distributes rclone as part of its products (which the generous MIT licence allows) or uses it internally then it would make business sense to sponsor the rclone project to ensure that the project you rely on stays healthy and well maintained.
Rclone Services Ltd offers Support, Advertising and Sponsorship deals - to see what is available please go to rclone.com.
Services can be billed directly or you can sign up through our business Github page.
Personal users
If you are a personal user and you would like to support the project with sponsorship as a way of saying thank you then that would be most appreciated โค๏ธ
What are the funds for
The funds help make Open Source development sustainable, paying for project expenses (like running the website and forum, serving the downloads, running the integration test servers) and enabling me to spend my time working on the project.
Other projects I maintain
I also maintain quite a few Go language libraries, for example an Openstack Swift library which is used in rclone but also by many others (eg Docker). See my GitHub for the full list! I'm also the founder of the gpython project an attempt to port Python from C to Go.
